Athletes at the reception “Friends of professional sport ” , organized by the four-time Olympic champion in gymnastics Alexei Nemov , spoke about the charity and shared expectations for the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi.

Guests of honor at the event were members of the Academy of Laureus: German tennis player Boris Becker, a New Zealand rugby player Sean Fitzpatrick, president of the Olympic Committee of Russia Alexander Zhukov, nine-time Olympic champion Larisa Latynina and many others. Money raised at the gala will go to charity .

“I would like to focus attention on children from children’s homes. I can not watch without tears for little kids without parents. I think in the near future ‘ll do it ,” – admitted the Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Alla Shishkin.
